Tiffany Scalia: Treasurer

Tiffany Scalia: Treasurer

Originally hailing from Philadelphia, PA Tiffany Scalia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her education and a career in international relations. After taking a graduate seminar in Feminism in International Relations and participating in a social justice learning trip to Nicaragua in her senior year at USC, she quickly realized the only way to bring about the massive kind of change she envisioned for the world would be to organize locally. Since graduating in 2011, Tiffany has worked on many community campaigns and projects, mainly centered on food justice and workers’ rights. Working on the Salans for CD 13 campaign was a logical step for Tiffany, as Salans’ passion and determination resonate deeply with her conviction to re-make the political system into one that works for, and empowers, all people.

Nate Reti: Production Manager

Nate Reti: Production Manager

Nate Reti has a lifelong interest in politics and is passionate about justice, peace and social equality. He has called Los Angeles home for over a decade, having moved here from Detroit where he grew up personally witnessing the effects of midwest post-industrial devastation. While in his senior year of high school in September 2001, Nate recognized that the funds being used for the brutal and seemingly endless “war on terror” would be better used for alleviating poverty, providing universal health care and improving education. This led him to become involved with the anti-war movement, attending protests and supporting and volunteering for anti-war candidates in national and local elections. While generally opposing the two-party duopoly over US politics, he was an early supporter of Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign and believes in the principals of democratic socialism. Nate currently works in logistics for a major music technology company, and is proud to contribute his skills and expertise to Jessica Salans’ political revolution to bring power to the people in LA!
